lol..ok, i read by law( in the UK) they can't be any heavier than 40kg anyway. But i was mainly planning to pedal on flat surface at 20-25mph then apply the power at steep hills to prevent lactic acid build up so i can save my energy for when i'm on the flat surface
The CTC [1] have tested a few now. The cheap ones burn out. Spend that vital extra and they work fine. The latest two went up the steepest hill in Guildford [2] twice just on battery power, no problem.
If you have the funds available for a decent electric bike, then consider what sort of normal bike you would get for similar money. Would that better suit your needs?
